Resource Attributes Tab

Resources possess various attributes. For instance, providers can have different characteristics such as gender or proficiency in multiple languages.

It is not uncommon for patients to have specific preferences when it comes to the attributes of their desired provider. By setting resource attributes, the scheduler user can efficiently identify the most suitable resources.

To establish resource attributes, navigate to the "Resource Attributes" tab in the Tools>Setup screen.

In this example, resources can be associated with language proficiency, gender, and specific insurances.

Simply click the blank area at the top to create a new resource attribute. List all the possible attributes for a given caption, and then add the appropriate attributes for a given resource. For instance, Dr. Jones is a male provider who speaks both Spanish and English, and accepts three types of insurance.

When searching for available appointments, patients have the option to specify their desired provider attributes.

Once the desired resource attributes are selected, simply click on "Select Matching Resources" to automatically find resources that meet those criteria.
