Users now have the option to add an additional fee to each EZClaimPay transaction in version 687 and older
Note: This feature is only available in EZClaim version 687 and newer
- On the top ribbon bar, click on the Library icon and select Add-On-Services
Note: This process requires the ADMIN password
- Once in the Add-On-Services library, make sure EZClaimPay Credit Card Processing is highlighted as the service you want to update, and then click on the Platform Fees button
- To add a platform fee, in the Platform Fee Screen click New, this will open the New Platform Fee box and allow you to set a minimum balance, a fixed fee, or a percentage
- After entering the fee amount you would like to add to each EZClaimPay transaction, click continue and then the confirm button to confirm the total to be charged
Important: EZClaim allows the practice to recoup part or all of the merchant fees as the practice sees fit for their business.
Platform fees are not a passthrough of the merchant fees.

- Minimum balance: Specify the lowest dollar amount you want the fee to be applied to.
- Transaction amounts equal to or greater than the minimum balance will reflect the fee
- Fixed Fee: Specify the amount of the fee to add to the transaction. This is a flat fee that doesn't change
- Percentage: Specify what percentage of the transaction you want to add as a fee.
- The fee will vary depending on the transaction amount
- When processing a new EZClaimPay payment in EZClaim, you will see the amount the platform fee is adding to the charge balance.
- You also have the option to remove the platform fee at this time if you choose
