Library Security

Library Details

Libraries are accessed through the Libraries icon on the Home ribbon bar.

Note: Not all Libraries are accessible to everyone. Some Libraries require ADMIN or Full access level permissions.  See Manage Security Settings for more information.

Library Security

Below is a comprehensive list of all libraries along with their respective permission requirements.

  • Add-On Services – ‘Full access’ permission is required to access or edit
  • Authorization – Anyone can access, but ‘Manage Payer/Physician/Auth’ requires permission to edit
  • City State Zip - Anyone can access
  • Claim Template – Anyone can access, but ‘Manage data entry’ requires permission to edit
  • Code Library – Anyone can access, but ‘Manage data entry’ requires permission to edit
  • EDI Connection – Anyone can access, but ‘Submit claims’ and ‘Retrieve reports’ requires permission to edit
  • Interface – ‘Full access’ or 'Admin' permission is required to access or edit
  • List – Anyone can access, but ‘Manage data entry’ requires permission to edit
  • Note Template – Anyone can access, but ‘Manage data entry’ requires permission to edit
  • Payer – Anyone can access, but ‘Manage Payer/Physician/Auth’ requires permission to edit
  • Physician Facility – Anyone can access, but ‘Manage Payer/Physician/Auth’ requires permission to edit
  • Procedure Code – Anyone can access, but ‘Manage data entry’ requires permission to edit
  • Submitter / Receiver – Anyone can access, but ‘Submit claims and retrieve reports’ requires permission to edit
  • Widget - Anyone can access, but ‘Print, Preview, and Export’ reports, require permission to edit

Add-on Services Library

The Add-On Services Library is accessed via the Libraries button > Add-On Services

Note:  Contact EZClaim for Add-On-Services pricing and Activation.

Authorization Library

The Authorization Library allows you to track the number of units allowed and remaining for a procedure code.  Please see the Authorization Library article for more information.

City State Zip Library

EZClaim automatically stores frequently used city/state/zip information for convenient retrieval. Users have the flexibility to edit data within this library or disable the feature by unchecking the designated box.

Claim Template Library

The Claim Template Library is utilized to efficiently group services together, resulting in a reduction of data entry time.

Code Library

The Code Library is used to maintain the following code sets:

  • Reason Codes 
  • Remark Codes 
  • Diagnosis Codes ICD-9  
  • Diagnosis Codes ICD-10 
  • Place of Service
  • Modifiers

EDI Connection Library

The EDI Connection Library is utilized to manage electronic connection methods for different clearinghouses or payers.

Interface Library

Interfaces are preconfigured in EZClaim Billing and can be accessed in the Interface Library. These interfaces can only be managed by the administrator. Import/Export Interfaces are only operational when the EZClaim is running on the configured machine. It is crucial to review incoming data before saving it to the EZClaim database.

Additionally, interfaces can be configured on multiple computers.

Note: All interfaces require an Activation code; please contact EZClaim to obtain the activation code.

List Library

The List Library is utilized to manage and organize the items that are accessible in the different drop-down boxes throughout EZClaim. These items are primarily used for labeling purposes.

Additionally, certain reports can be filtered based on Patient Classification, Claim Classification, and other factors. The available lists are displayed in the List Type section.

Note Template Library

Note Templates may be set up for easy data entry in various note fields available in EZClaim:

  • Reminder Note and Patient Notes (both available on the Patient screen)
  • Claim Notes (available on the Claim screen)
  • New Task

Payer Library

The ‘Payer Library’ is used to maintain Payer information and customize Payer options.

You can reach the Payer Library by clicking on the Payer button located in the ribbon bar or by clicking Libraries > Payer

Physician Facility Library

The 'Physician/Facility Library' is utilized to manage a comprehensive list of Providers and Facilities that are utilized in patient and claim records.

You can access this library in two ways: 

  • Click the Physician Library button located on the home ribbon bar

  • Click LibrariesPhysician Facility located on the home ribbon bar

Procedure Code Library

The Procedure Code Library provides the ability to manage procedure (or HCPCS) codes, including rates and additional information for each code. 

Note: Maintaining the Procedure Code Library is optional and not mandatory.

Submitter/Reciever Library

The 'Submitter/Receiver Library' enables you to conveniently store the data that your payer or clearinghouse expects on each of your electronic claim submissions.

This includes important file header information, such as your practice name and submitter ID.

Widget Library

Widgets are accessible on the home screen to display quick snapshots of information. These widgets are securely stored with the company data and are accessible to all users of the company file.

Note: You have the option to convert any lookup Grid or Column heading into a widget.
