Everything you need to know about the Claim Template Library
The Claim Template Library serves the purpose of grouping services, which in turn reduces the time spent on data entry.
Tip: Only the Template name and at least 1 service line is required.
All other fields are optional.
- To input Claim Template data, utilize the drop-down arrows to select the desired template data. Additionally, you can click on Initial Claim Values to include any supplementary criteria.
- You have the option to make Claim Templates available to all patients or to a specific patient only. To do this, use the drop-down menu and select Select a Patient under the Available To section.
- Ensure that the Procedure Code Library is properly configured before using a claim template, as all dollar amounts are derived from it.
It is important to note that if you make any updates to the data (such as charge amounts) at the Procedure Code Library level, you will need to reselect the code in your Claim Template to reset it for future claims. Existing claims will retain the older data.

- Claim Templates are selected on the Charges screen during data entry. Once a Template is selected, click the calendar dates to apply the template values to the claim.
