BillFlash: Statements FAQ
Answers to the most frequently asked questions about BillFlash Statements
FAQ on Statements
Q - Why do the statements show ‘PROCEDURE’ as the description?
A - If the procedure code library does not have a description for the procedure code, EZClaim will use a generic description. See Procedure Code Library for information on entering codes and descriptions.
Q - Why doesn’t the statement screen list patients with a credit balance?
A - Statements are intended for collecting payments from patients and are not intended for issuing refunds.
In the event of a refund, the Patient Ledger report can be utilized. Additionally, the Patient Receipt report is a useful tool for documenting payments that have already been received.
Q - How do I prevent a patient from receiving a statement?
A - To prevent a patient from receiving statements, even if they have an outstanding balance, you can access the patient record and select the 'Don't Send Statements' checkbox in the Statement Information section.
