Getting Started with BestNotes

In order to utilize the BestNotes (ANSI 837) interface within EZClaim Premier, it is necessary to contact BestNotes (855-489-1792) and have them assist in setting up your SFTP folders.
BestNotes will furnish you with the following details for the SFTP (Secure File Transfer) connection:
- BestNotes SFTP User Login
- BestNotes SFTP User Password
- Additionally, EZClaim will provide you with the ANSI 837 Import Activation Code
Premier Program Setup
Setup the SFTP EDI Connection Entry-
- Open the Libraries > EDI Connection window
- Click on the Add New Entry area in the Entry Name field and select Secure File Transfer as the Type
- Open the Libraries > EDI Connection window

- Enter the login and password provided by BestNotes (refer to their online help) in the respective fields
Note: Ensure that the Download Directory has /837

- Check For user with Interfaces Only
- Click Save & Close
Note: This process requires the ADMIN password.

- Navigate to Libraries and select Interface. Choose the ANSI 837 Import option

- Enter your Activation Code

- You may choose to select the Update Patient Information option if you want the program to update existing patient records during the importing process automatically
- Select the Check SFTP item
- Select BestNotes from the SFTP Site drop-down list
- Click Save & Close
Importing BestNotes Data
- Click on the Review Incoming button located on the ribbon bar
- Click on the Check for New Data button located at the right side of the screen to download any files that are waiting to be imported
