How to Backup your Data in EZClaim
Cloud Users
You have the option to request a backup by filling out an account change form. Support will follow up once your form is received.
Note: Although cloud data is automatically backed up daily, it is only accessible to users upon request.
Local/Non-Cloud Users
If you have Admin permissions and are not a cloud user, you can perform backups by accessing the backup icon located on the Tools menu.
- Please ensure that you are logged in as a user with Admin permissions, as you may be prompted to enter the Admin password if necessary.
- If you are not currently logged in as a user with Admin permissions, you will be prompted to enter the Admin password.
- The backup window allows you to set the location of the backup file.
Note: Remember that the backup location is relative to the SQL server location, not your local computer.
Restoring a company file can only be done through the Company Maintenance program.
Note: If EZClaim is unable to create a backup due to factors such as limited disk space or permission issues, an alert will be displayed to the user.
Users will be asked to verify if they already have a backup in place before being able to proceed further.
SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
For offices that handle their own SQL server, it is recommended to manage and maintain backups using the tools provided by SQL Server Management Studio.
There are no specific prerequisites for backing up or restoring EZClaim Premier databases.
