      Entering Anesthesia Claims in EZClaim

      Service Line Description

      To include additional information in the Service Line Description field as required by the payer, follow these steps to add the field to the grid.

      Use the Column Chooser to drag and drop the Service Line Description field to the grid. 

      Note: The Start Time and End Time columns available on the service line grid do not print on paper claims and do not export electronically. These fields are for reference only.

       

      Units

      For anesthesia claims, it is important to report the duration in minutes in the Units field. When dealing with procedure codes between 00100 and 01999, EZClaim will automatically designate minutes as MJ in the Units qualifier of the ANSI 837 file (Loop 2400, Segment SV1, Field 03). If you need to use MJ for any other codes outside of this range, you can add the Units Measurement field to the grid using the Column Chooser.
